Duc Tien is a former high school graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School and Maisin Scholar Class of 2001. After graduating, Duc went on to attend University of California Berkeley, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Molecular & Cell Biology. It was while Duc Tien was pursuing his undergraduate degree he saw a patient suffering from a debilitating chronic pain disorder that he became even more impassioned about improving patient healthcare. He began visting patients with his professor (a trained neurosurgeon) who inspired and motivated him to pursue his interest as a scientist in medicine.
