I’ve always loved school.  I wake up at 5:00 AM every day, take public transportation to school and arrive an hour before classes start.  During that time, I work on assignments, read, or study.  I want to use my experience and education to help other people who may be going through difficult times.  Everything I have been through serves as experience and ways I can improve in order to fulfill my dream.

Every time I feel like giving up, I resolve to not quit. I study harder, practice harder, and push harder to ensure I rise above the distractions and animosities that surround me.  I need to share what I learned with others who are struggling. I want this new way of thinking to not only help me go far, I also want to bring people up and out with me.

I do not see a greater privilege more than helping and uplifting those around you. My experiences at Family Connection, made me decide with an unwavering certainty that I truly want a career where I can interact and connect with people and ultimately solve problems similar to my volunteer work. My dream career now, a career that can help others overcome barriers, is a psychiatrist.  I look forward to entering college, getting my degree in psychology, and working as a psychiatrist.
